Floor Gator® - Application Protocol

Floor Gator is a premium oil absorbent made from renewable agricultural products. Floor Gator will absorb up to six times its own weight. Floor Gator will encapsulate, suppress vapors, and eliminate residue left over by other absorbents. Floor Gator can re reused until fully saturated.

Application

Fuel, Oil and Grease Spills. Floor Gator absorbs the liquid and suppresses vapors. Floor Gator reduces residue which reduces the risk of accidents.

Solvent Spills. Floor Gator absorbs and suppresses vapors. Reduces the risk of combustion.

Antifreeze Spills. Floor Gator absorbs ethylene glycol for safe handling and disposal.

Use Directions

The following are basic guidelines to be used when cleaning up a spill using Floor Gator®.

1. Apply Floor Gator® directly to the spill. If the liquid is spreading, simply form a dam using Floor Gator ® to contain the spill.

2. Immediately begin sweeping the Floor Gator® back and forth through the liquid. Floor Gator® will absorb the liquid and should not require a secondary cleanup if enough product is used.

3. When the liquid is absorbed and the floor is dry, the contaminated Floor Gator® should be picked up right away. Floor Gator® is not designed to be applied to a spill and left for any period of time. This unique characteristic of Floor Gator® reduces the risk of slip and fall accidents from contaminated absorbents left on the floor.

4. Floor Gator® can be reused until fully saturated. Once fully saturated, contaminated Floor Gator® can be incinerated or disposed of by approved methods established by local, state, and federal guidelines.

Disposal of Contaminated Floor Gator®

a) Must be disposed of in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines

b) Contributes 7,000 BTU per pound with less than 5% ash during incineration

c) Landfill (where regulations allow)

d) Mix with Oil Gator® to bioremediate hydrocarbons (regulatory approval required)
